South Korea shares 3rd position ahead of Japan and Malaysia other two Asian countries which share 4th and 5th position respectively.
Countries with the highest ranking are actively working on improving economic strength, human development, life expectancy, education and quality of medical services. Countries that are ruled by non-democratic regimes, have poor transparency record or are at war had the lowest rankings. Why would anyone want to settle in these countries? in other words, countries with highest rankings make it difficult for people from these countries to cross borders and allow only selective people into their countries.
Generally, visa requirements reflect the diplomatic relationship between two countries. Each country decided visa requirements for citizens of another country based on security risk it perceives, past regulatory violation by its citizens, business or cultural relationship it wants to develop with other countries. India's Passport power is unlikely to improve unless its domestic record on cleanliness, law enforcement, safety, security, education, legal and regulatory compliances show significant improvement.
